General Description
Shoreline Water District (SWD) currently invites all qualified applicants to apply for the position of Field Inspector / Project Manager. The successful candidate will play a key role in construction inspection, project management and design for water system projects. Essential duties include inspecting District’s capital improvement projects and water system extension agreements as well as project management, coordinating district mapping and GIS projects. This position reports to the Operations Manager.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience in underground utility design and construction and must have a strong understanding of construction practices including reviewing underground construction plans/drawings and specifications, submittal process, permit applications and change orders. Daily duties will include: maintaining project progress information, ensure projects are on schedule, within budget and prepare cost data for project control/quality control analysis and reporting. The candidate must have professional engineering license in the state of Washington, excellent computer skills including AutoCAD and GIS, communication skills and ability to work both as an individual and team projects and a valid state of Washington driver’s license.
Compensation
The Field Inspector/Project Manager position has a starting salary of $84,000.
