As a public water district founded in 1931, North City Water District serves approximately 25,000 people in a roughly 5 square mile area, which encompasses the east side of Shoreline, Washington as well as portions of Lake Forest Park. We encourage customers who are experiencing financial difficulties as a result of COVID-19 to call our customer service staff for assistance.
For everyone’s safety during the COVID-19 situation, we are keeping our front doors closed and locked. Please make payments using drop box by the front door or at the drive up window during normal business hours. You may also use our online payment or pay by phone options.

Wednesday: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Rate Reduction Available for Eligible Low-Income Persons
North City Water District is offering a rate reduction to eligible low-income persons. A qualified applicant’s water bill base rate will be reduced by $12.35 every billing period. Total household income from all sources in 2019 must not exceed the “very low income limits” set annually by HUD for the Seattle area. Limited to the first 150 Single Family Residential customers. The public is invited to attend any one of our Commissioner Meetings which are held at 3:00 pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. All meetings are held at our main office located at 1519 NE 177th Street.
