As a public water district founded in 1931, North City Water District serves approximately 25,000 people in a roughly 5 square mile area, which encompasses the east side of Shoreline, Washington as well as portions of Lake Forest Park. About Our Chlorine Supply
In mid-June, our water source (Seattle Public Utilities / SPU) was notified of a situation impacting the supply of chlorine products used to treat drinking water. By the end of that week, SPU received their scheduled shipment of chlorine products, and anticipates the chlorine supply and deliveries will return to normal very soon. Learn more here and here. We continue to encourage people to use water wisely, especially during our warmer summer months.

If you are a single family residential customer whose income has been impacted by COVID-19 during the calendar year 2020, download the application here >
Standard Low Income Water Rate Reduction Program
If you are a single family residential customer whose total household income from all sources during 2019 did not exceed the “very low income limits” set annually by HUD for the Seattle / King County area, download the application here >
Both programs are limited to the first 150 single family residential customers.
Making In-Person Payments
For everyone’s safety during the COVID-19 situation, we are keeping our front doors closed and locked. Please make payments using drop box by the front door, or at the drive up window during normal business hours. You may also use the online payment function, or you can pay by phone by dialing 206-362-8100 and choosing option #3.

The public is welcome to attend our Commissioner Meetings, which are held at 3:00 pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month (view the upcoming schedule and agenda here). To keep our community safe during the pandemic, these meetings are currently being held via conference call, in compliance with the Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” mandate.
