For over twelve years, Shoreline Water District has been proud to sponsor the grand Christmas Tree Lighting Event — a special moment when hundreds of colorful lights in the shape of a giant Christmas tree on top of our community’s 3.7 million gallon reservoir in North City suddenly light up the night sky.
This holiday season, we’d like to take a moment to thank each and every company, group and individual who made this year’s event such a wonderful and memorable one for us all.
.
Our Generous Participants:
- Les Schwab who let everyone gather in their parking lot
- Around the Sound Community Band who entertained us with music and lively holiday carols>
- Shoreline Water District Commissioner Charlotte Haines, who served as our Master of Ceremonies
- Brown’s Coffee who kept us warm with fresh, hot coffee
- North City 76 Food Mart who supplied delicious cookies
- Golden Bow Gifts and Flowers, who supplied even more cookies
- Custom Pure Water Filtration Systems who supplied additional cookies
- Darigold Credit Union who (you guessed it) also supplied cookies (there can never be enough cookies…)
- North City Neighborhood Association Members who bundled up to serve the coffee and all those cookies
- Shoreline Water District Commissioner Ron Ricker who provided candy canes (just in case there wasn’t enough sugar in the cookies)
- Anderson House who supplied the P.A. system, table cloths, and more
- Walgreens Staff who provided gifts for all the children that waited to see Santa, and took the photographs of your children with Santa and his elves
- Shoreline Water District “Secret Staff Members” who assisted in the appearance of Santa Claus and his team of elves (was it really Santa? Our lips are sealed…)
The Commissioners and staff at Shoreline Water District truly appreciate how generously everyone pitched in to keep this tradition going — it’s part of what makes living in Shoreline so special. We wish you all a very happy holiday!
