North City Water District receives annual audits from the Washington State Auditor’s Office.   On February 10, 2014, the State Auditor’s Office notified the District that it received a clean audit report regarding internal controls and procedures.  The audit specifically reviewed four areas including the financial condition of the District, the utility billing rate change, public works procurement and general disbursements.

As stated in the State Auditor’s Report, “the District’s internal controls were adequate to safeguard public assets.  The District also complied with state laws and regulations and its own policies and procedures in the areas we examined.”

The District’s next audit is scheduled for October 2015.
