Although it feels a bit strange posting this on a day of torrential rains (big hooray!), the cities of Seattle, Tacoma and Everett have recently enacted “voluntary” water reductions, since the potential for a water shortage in our area has continued to rise.

As the second stage of their water shortage plans, officials are asking customers to reduce their water use by 10 percent. The Saving Water Partnership website offers the following tips (click on the image to view larger / download the pdf):
