About The Class

What better way to cheer your quarantined spirits than with some time in the garden? Join us for this free online class to learn design and planting tips that will help you create a more colorful and attractive landscape all year long. From secrets for less maintenance and more color using garden art and structures, to ideas from show gardens from around the world, you’ll come away with fresh inspiration to enhance your own private paradise!

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, we are offering this Savvy Gardener class online using the free Microsoft Teams* platform. To register, you must provide your name and email address to [email protected] so we can send you a link to join the class.

*About Microsoft Teams

Joining this free class on Microsoft Teams is easy. On the day of the class, check your email (and your spam filter too, just in case) for an email containing a link to join the class.

Using a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet, click the Join Microsoft Teams Meeting link just before the class start time (we will open the class at 6:15 pm to allow for any last minute technical adjustments).

You will be able to see and hear the presenter and her slide show, and you can ask questions through the chat feature. Attendees will not be able to share audio or video.

About Our Presenter:

Marianne Binetti is a northwest horticultural expert and author who gives classes and seminars on a variety of gardening topics, writes a syndicated gardening column that runs in over a dozen newspapers each week including the The Tacoma News Tribune (Sundays) and The Daily Olympian (Saturdays), and has also written or co-written 10 gardening books, including “Easy Answers for Great Gardens,” and her latest book “Edible Gardening for Washington and Oregon.” She has appeared on HGTV, has hosted various radio and TV programs, and leads garden tours around the world with her husband Joe.
