About the Class:

In this FREE Savvy Gardener class, Mark Guthrie, Landscape Water Conservation Program Manager for the Saving Water Partnership, will explain how you can make your irrigation system more efficient and use less water. Topics include how to set your irrigation timer, choosing the best irrigation equipment for watering plants, and how to use your meter to look for leaks.

Class is free, but you must register to attend.

About The Presenter:

Mark Guthrie is the landscape water conservation program manager for Seattle Public Utilities and the Saving Water Partnership. He manages Seattle’s landscape water conservation programs including the irrigation rebate program, and evaluates ways to remove barriers to water-efficient landscaping for homeowners and landscape professionals. His certifications include ecoPRO Certified Professional, Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor and Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper. Mark is also a technical committee member of the ecoPRO Sustainable Landscape Professional Certification and a board member of the King County chapter of the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals. He received his Masters of Professional Studies in Horticulture degree with an emphasis in water-efficient landscaping from Utah State University.
