Drip Irrigation for Home Gardeners

Learn how easy it is to water your garden with resource-efficient drip irrigation! Even though our climate is known for its rain, during the droughty summer, we still need to water food crops, thirsty ornamentals, and container gardens. Instructor Laura McGrath will how you how to maximize the water you use in your landscape. Registration is required… see contact info at the bottom of this article.

About The Instructor:

Laura McGrath teaches classes for Tilth Alliance on topics including organic vegetable gardening and permaculture, and regularly trains volunteers to install drip irrigation systems in community gardens. Tilth Alliance’s mission is to build an ecologically sound, economically viable and socially equitable food system.

Proven Tips and Techniques for First-Time Gardeners

Get started with simple and fun tips for a beautiful, sustainable and low-maintenance garden. Instructor Peggy Campbell shares basic techniques that are easy on you and the environment, including how to keep weeds out, pests at bay, water use low, and enjoy color year-round. About The Instructor:

Believing gardening should be fun and satisfying, Peggy Campbell enjoys showing others how to take the work out of gardening. She shares tips learned in transforming her own garden from a weed-filled, time-intensive yard into an easy-care landscape – with something in-bloom nearly every week of the year! Peggy is an ecoPRO Certified Sustainable Landscape Professional with a Bachelor’s in horticulture from Washington State University.
